As Program Manager, Andrea leads the conceptualization, implementation and management all of ISIS’ program work, coordinating with the talented cast of professionals that make up the ISIS team, and serving as the principal liaison to clients and the larger community.
Andrea brings a combination of public health and marketing research knowledge and experience to her work at ISIS. Andrea has applied her skills and energies across a variety of public health areas including global health and social marketing, and more recently formed part of a marketing research team for a strategic consulting firm. Her career began with her Peace Corps service in Ecuador where she worked as a community educator in the areas of HIV/STI and pregnancy prevention, nutrition and youth development. Since, Andrea has worked for several contractors of the US Agency for International Development, using her program management and design skills on a variety of public health programs in Africa and Latin America. Outside of the global health context, she has applied her formative research skills to the design of social marketing campaigns to promote healthy behavior change.
Andrea has co-authored two peer-reviewed articles in Family and Community Health and Journal of Women’s Health as part of the formative research work she conducted for a CDC-funded social marketing campaign to promote folic acid consumption among Latina women.
Andrea holds a Bachelor's of Arts in International Studies and Spanish from Elon University and a Masters in Health Sciences with a focus on Social and Behavioral Interventions from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
